A CELEBRATING GRANDDAD!

Applauding Our Grandsons

Lu and I have five grandchildren (four boys and one girl) and we’re very proud of each of them. Today the applause goes to two of our grandsons who have excelled in sports, and have advanced to national competition.

Chase Chitwood on the high bar.

Chase Chitwood is a son of our daughter, Dena, and her husband, Chuck. Chase is a home schooled, graduating senior this year and will compete in the national gymnastics competition for 11th and 12 graders. The national competition will be hosted in the Cox Center in May and will bring young athletes to Oklahoma City from across the nation. Lu and I are very proud of Chase.

Dalton Tunstall

Dalton Tunstall is a son of Franklin, Jr. and his wife Angela. Dalton is a rising senior next fall. Dalton is the captain and goalee of his soccer team, and leads his team in prayer before each game. His team has advanced to the U.S. Soccer National Championship  competition in July for 17-year-olds and under at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, TX  [north of Dallas]. Lu and I are very proud of Dalton too.

While we are popping buttons for our grandsons’ achievements in sports, we are especially happy that both grandsons are “A” students, and profoundly grateful for each of their testimonies of personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
